Escambia County Traffic Ticket Attorneys
Escambia County Florida is located in the Florida panhandle. Aside from the Escambia County Sheriffs Office and the Florida Highway Patrol, the only other law enforcement agency is the City of Pensacola Police Department. In the most recent statistics, there were almost 29,000 citations issued for non criminal moving violations. Almost 15,000 of these violations were for unlawful speed. Over 4,000 citations were issued for careless driving under Florida statute 316.1925. Some of these involved an accident and other violations were not crash related.
Almost 9,000 criminal citations were issued last year, over 1,000 for driving under the influence(DUI). Most of these arrests were made by the Escambia county sheriffs office. Almost 5400 criminal citations were issued to indivduals for driving without a valid driver’s license in violation of Florida Statute 322.031 (1) or driving while license suspended in violation of Florida Statute 322.34.
The Florida Highway Patrol has a very aggressive enforcement program. The patrol uses a fixed wing aircraft and the white lines on the roadway to clock motorists between two white lines that are 1/4 mile apart. The pilot then radios down to a trooper or officer on the ground who pulls over the vehicle and issues a citation.
